Fall 2026
Client Kickoff and Site Visit
Old Town La Verne Streetscape and Public Realm Design Study
La Verne
Status: Upcoming
Overview
The kickoff is where the studio and the City of La Verne align on the project. We meet with city staff to listen to their goals for Old Town, then explore the district in person to see how its streets, sidewalks, and public spaces work today.
▸ Objectives
- Understand the city’s priorities for Old Town’s identity, pedestrian experience, and connectivity
- Define the core study area along D Street and the wider connectivity area
- Observe existing streetscape conditions and how people move through the district
- Set expectations for the study’s timeline and deliverables
What to Expect
The studio will meet with city staff to discuss the goals of the study, then walk Old Town La Verne, including D Street and the routes connecting it to the A Line La Verne/Fairplex Station and the University of La Verne. These early observations lay the groundwork for the existing conditions inventory.
