Spring 2027
Focus Areas & Design Work
old town la verne
Rather than redesigning every block at the same level of detail, the studio divides into teams that each take on one location in Old Town. Each team develops a more detailed concept for its area, giving the City a set of tangible ideas it can draw from later.
Overview
This Spring 2027 milestone summarizes existing conditions, pedestrian observations, and focus area design concepts, with clear objectives and expandable sections that document how ENV Community Development Lab students translate fieldwork into actionable planning insights.
objectives
- Develop detailed, place-specific design concepts for key locations in Old Town
- Show how individual improvements work together as a cohesive streetscape
- Reinforce Old Town’s character and identity through design
